Lisa heads the Estate Planning department of the firm and practices extensively in Wills and Estates, Probate, Guardianship and Administration and Family Law.
Lisa joined Nicholas James Lawyers in 2019 and has since excelled in her role. Having graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Laws in 2014, Lisa was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria in February 2015. Soon after, Lisa was admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia in April 2015, and most recently, in 2022, successfully obtained her Accreditation in Wills & Estates. Lisa’s commitment, dedication and outstanding demeanour has secured her status as a highly skilled Accredited Specialist within her profession and amongst her peers.
She has worked on various high-profile cases throughout her career. Whilst at her previous firm Hughes Watson Marks Kennedy (HWMK), Lisa was appointed the first female Principal Solicitor in the firm’s 30-year history.
Lisa is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Victorian Women Lawyers Association and was a former Committee Member for the Western Suburbs Law Association. Lisa has been honoured as a Friend Solicitor of the Salvation Army for three years running for her contribution in providing pro bono legal services to the local community. She is also on the Victoria Legal Aid Section 29A Panel for Family Law. Currently, Lisa is a Mentor Solicitor with the Victorian Women Lawyers’ Association Mentor Program, which provides 1:1 mentoring and guidance for newly admitted Solicitors in Victoria.
Lisa’s calming and friendly nature allows her clients to feel confident that their matter is in the right hands, which is of extreme importance given the sensitive situations her clients are in.
